Free Thanksgiving lunch for senior members and seniors from our community, 1pm in the Lodge Hall. The Lodge provides the turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing; members, sign up in the Social Quarters to bring a side or dessert. Cards and Bingo follow as usual.

Every Canes game is on

The Lodge shows every Carolina Hurricanes game on the big screen unless a special event has the hall that night. Grab a seat at the bar, order from the kitchen, and cheer with your fellow Moose. See the Hurricanes schedule.

Friday, Oct 30: The Last Tailgate of the Year, 5 to 8pm

One more night under the lights before the weather turns. Guest cook Scott Koliander is grilling his marinated chicken spiedies, Italian sausage sandwiches with peppers and onions, baked beans and salt potatoes, and Jeremy Burns plays live and original while you eat. $12 donation at the door, every dollar to the Cancer Research Institute. Turkey Shoot at 7pm the same night, so make an evening of it. Bring a friend who has never been. See the flyer.

Free child ID kits at National Night Out

On Tuesday, October 6 our volunteers teamed up with the Safe Surfin' Foundation and the Rolesville Police at Redford Place Park, making free ID kits for kids. See the photo or read more.

Our team walked to end Alzheimer's

On Saturday, October 3 the Moose gang joined 1,600 walkers at Halifax Mall for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. See the team photo or read more.

The Angel Tree goes up November 1

We are sponsoring Angel Trees for two schools in our community. Stop by the Lodge, pick an Angel, buy and wrap the gifts on the tag, and bring them back to the Lodge by December 15. See the slide.

The Turkey Shoot pays for Christmas

No, we don't shoot turkeys. From October 14 through December 26, anyone of any age can try their aim at a paper target for $5 a shot. Little ones shoot with an adult's help. Bring your own shotgun and we supply the shells, or use one of the house guns. Closest to the bull's-eye wins meat prizes: steaks, roasts, hams and turkeys. No experience needed; friendly folks are on hand to help.

It's the Lodge's biggest fundraiser. Every dollar of the season goes to Angel Tree big-item gifts, Christmas for our Mooseheart kids, and local families who need a hand.

Our story

The Raleigh Moose Family Center is a 501(c)(8) non-profit that supports the children of Mooseheart and the seniors of Moosehaven, providing them with care, housing, education and support.

We've served the Raleigh area since 1918 and have called Forestville Road home since 1977. We're part of Moose International, a fraternal and service organization with nearly 800,000 members across the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and Bermuda.

The Lodge is also home to Women of the Moose Chapter 1058 and Moose Legion 69.

How our fundraisers help

Members: rent the hall for your event

Birthdays, showers, reunions and celebrations of life. Members only, $75 an hour.

Check availability

Lodge Hall

Seats up to 100, or about 60 with a dance floor. Tables, chairs and a stage.

Outdoor pavilion

Covered space for 100+ guests, next to the stage deck used for Backyard Bash concerts.

Food and bar

You bring your own food. Beer, wine and the bar go through the Lodge.
