The Raleigh Moose Family Center, Lodge 1318, is a 501(c)(8) non-profit and part of Moose International.
Our history
- 1918
The Raleigh Moose Lodge is founded and begins serving the Raleigh community.
- 1977
The Lodge moves to its current home at 2824 Forestville Road, Wake Forest.
- 2022
The Backyard Bash concert series starts on the outdoor stage, and the Lodge goes online at raleighmooselodge.com.
- 2025
The Lodge celebrates its 107th birthday. Recent giving to Moose and local charities totals $36,385.
- 2026
A new slate of officers takes office for 2026 to 2027.

Why we exist
The Moose supports two places above all: Mooseheart, a home and school in Illinois for children and teens in need, and Moosehaven, a retirement community in Florida for senior members.
Money raised at our Lodge, from the Turkey Shoot to our dinners and fundraisers, provides them with care, housing, education and support. Closer to home, we give to local charities, run coat drives and senior luncheons, and help Moose families in need.
What is a Moose member?
A Moose member belongs to a fraternal organization rooted in service, fellowship and community. Members come together for friendship and fun, and to make a real difference through charitable programs, support for young people and care for senior members.
